We educate to empower and we empower for employment.

Who We AreWhat We Do
The South African

Challenge

Long-Term Unemployment

Our South African challenge is that our youth unemployment rate is at a critical level with most of our youth facing long-term unemployment. For every year that we celebrate a high matric pass rate there is an increase in the number of young people who join the long queue of unemployment, hopelessness and poverty. This has a much more far reaching and devastating consequence to industry, the business sector and the success of our country.

Labour Market Vulnerability

The issues our youth face around unemployment and labour market vulnerability challenges millions of livelihoods and the sustainability of our democracy. Youth are at the heart of the future for any country – they thrive a country thrives. South Africa ranked second in a economic survey for Youth Unemployment (World Bank 2021) showing that 64,18% (ages 15-34) of our countries youth are unemployed.

Our Approach

We are changing this narrative and are forward focussed on Youth economic empowerment.

Our unique, holistic approach to each individual’s growth and development provides a foundation from which they are able to flourish. Part of our vision is to partner with corporates, NGOs and relevant service providers whose strategic focus includes investing into the lives of unemployed youth in South Africa in order to ensure that they can enter and flourish in the job market.

You too can have a part in changing this narrative.

What we do

Our Solutions

The barriers faced by our post-school youth are enormous.

Most if not all the youth we engage with lack the basic skills required to be able to function within the working world. Things like access to further education and training, digital literacy, access to transport, etc are just some of their hurdles.

We engage in youth centred partnerships for social, education and employment impact, and business centred partnerships employment opportunities.

What are the benefits of our solutions

We believe it is the responsibility of individuals, corporates, government and civil society to join forces to address the issues of unemployment within South Africa.

The benefits of our solutions to our students is greatly enhanced literacy and numeracy skills, growth in self-confidence, and psychological and social preparation to succeed in their futures. Our learners gain key workplace experience and soft skills to be ‘future fit’ and are they are supported to work through all the poverty constraints they face.

The goal of our interventions and partnerships is to provide our post-school youth with the stepping stones in educating and empowering themselves with key skills to walk into a future filled with hope and opportunities.
