Khanyiso Sihle Manqe lived in Chesterville all his life. It has been a frustrating and hard 6 years for Sihle since he matriculated in 2009, as although he continuously applied for jobs nothing happened which was very discouraging as he was becoming part of the unemployed youth statistic.

However he did not give up, he kept on knocking on doors until he registered with Careerlinx, and then was connected to the learner-ship opportunity with Labora Shoes which comes with a stipend. He tells us that it has been a great journey for him meeting good inspiring people and learning skills on the way.

“Since I have started I have never looked back and thanks to Careerlinx connecting me to this opportunity I now have a never say die attitude, and have become positive and decided I will never give up” says Sihle. His parting words are to the unemployed youth in SA “ I urge you not to give up and keep on trying “
